Highspot is very much a "little engine that could" type of company. Everyone works hard to do their part to push the company forward, and the momentum is significant with great energy. That alone has made it a pleasure, but I really love the people. Everyone cares and is genuine and welcoming.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
There is great transparency from the executive team, and they make a real effort to ensure everyone is included and feels like a major contributor. No one is left behind, and everyone is encouraged, even during difficult times.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone is included. Effort is both actively and visibly made to ensure inclusion and diversity, whether it be wearing pink for breast cancer awareness, ensuring gender diversity is not an afterthought, or getting everyone together for catered lunch every week during a light-hearted all-hands.
What did you like most about the interview process?
Being paired one-on-one with multiple people who I'd later be working with was a great introduction. I appreciated the various interview styles, but the best experiences were the ones where I got to "talk" to the interviewer and get to know them as a person.
What makes you most happy at work?
Most happy? I could easily name a handful of things. But, I think the most happiness comes from being recognized for my contributions by people who I don't work with directly. I don't expect my name to be plastered on the walls, but the random "great job on that" definitely brings warm fuzzies.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone has a great sense of humor and an investment in each other that goes beyond just being workers at the same company. It's a joy to work at Highspot, and that's reflected not just in how I feel each day getting ready for work but in the interactions I see between other employees.
