He served as a Senior Vice President and President of Residential HVAC & Supply at Ingersoll-Rand Plc (also known as Ingersoll-Rand Co. Ltd.) since August 1, 2011 and January 27, 2017 respectively. He served as Senior Vice President and President of Residential HVAC at Ingersoll-Rand Company Limited (Bermuda). Mr. Michel served as President of Residential Solutions at Ingersoll-Rand Plc from August 1, 2011 to December 2013 and President of Residential HVAC from December 2013 to January 27, 2017. He began his tenure with Ingersoll Rand as an Application Engineer and held product, sales and business management roles before moving into a series of leadership positions across various geographic and market segments, culminating over his more than 30-year career with Ingersoll Rand. He served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Club Car, LLC from 2007 to July 2011 and Executive Director of Corporate Development since 2007. His Other leadership positions held include President of Road Development, president of Utility Construction Equipment and General Management Roles within the industrial businesses. He has been a Director at Cooper Tire & Rubber Company since October 29, 2015. He has been a Director of Outdoor Power Equipment Institute, Inc. since June 2005. He serves as a Member of Advisory Council at Ingersoll-Rand Plc. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Phoenix.
