They only employ part time workers so they don't have to pay any benefits. Working hard and being a loyal employee is over looked when wanting a raise or want to become full time. Hy-Vee is just another company that is wrong with America!
What makes you most happy at work?
I like my job and my co-workers. The problem is upper management.
What did you like most about the interview process?
I was lead to believe that HY-Vee was an employee company and that they cared about their employees.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Noticing a good employee. No valdiation for a job well done. Caring for the lives of there employees... just big business.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
My co-workers are the best part of the company. However, we are all not impressed with demands from upper management without allowing overtime when needed.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My issues are with upper management. My manager requested to make me a full time employee but store manager denied request. Store manager is the problem.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
A raise would be nice after a year with the company. Validation for good work. Seeing the value of keeping an employee by making them a full time employee.
