What do you like best about the leadership team?
The leadership team is passionate, hard working, and smart! They are also transparent.
They are one of the smartest groups of leaders I have seen at one company

What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Create a product that is actually good. Bags are mostly trash I couldn't give it all away!
Genuinely caring and listening. Creativity continues to diminish.
The leadership team needs to treat employees more fairly. They are overworked and underpaid. They have done two rounds of layoffs in the past year but our salaries haven't increased.
Here ipsy forth worth, texas the leadership team need to make sure everyone is treated equally.
They need to stop discrimination. When you complain about something they fight you back. They need to respect black African. We are all there for work and we are all employees, we need to be treated equally.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
TC is a combination of base + bonus + equity + solid benefits
Solid base salary, bonus, and equity.

It is fairly balanced in terms of salary, equity, and benefits.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Layoffs are almost quarterly. No room for growth unless you are part of the OG ipsy San Mateo pre-pandemic hires.
We are squeezed and pressured to work more because of the layoffs yet nothing changes and there is no focus at the company
What are some of the best things about your team?
Teams are positive, innovative, supportive, and collaborative. I've never worked at a company where teams so strongly (and publicly) champion each other daily.
My team is wonderful! They are hard working, kind, and innovative. I have learned so much from my manager and coworkers.
The people are great but many of them left or are leaving

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Management is a revolving door so there isn't much that can be done. A complete mess. I have never in my career seen such terrible audits. I was worried someone would have a heart attack!
There needs to be more emails, fewer meetings
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The people and culture. It's a positive, supportive place with amazing and talented people.
The company's mission is to inspire everyone to express their own unique beauty and is committed to DE&I. Also, as a beauty-lover, working in beauty is fun!
The most positive about our company is the other people that we work with that is equal to you are all real friendly.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Stop discrimination. In forth worth, texas ipsy they need to treat everybody equally. Most of the worker are Spanish and they don't treat black well . We all need respect!
Respecte the difference ,we are not all from mexico but we are all human with right and we need to be treated with respect
What did you like most about the interview process?
It was an efficient process (meeting the recruiter, hiring manager, and SLT) that allowed me to learn about the company, culture, role, growth opportunities, and show how I could add value without being overly cumbersome.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?
My references told me they were asked so many questions about me and had never had such a detailed "interview" on me as a potential hire. I think one of them told me she was on the phone with two managers for an hour! I think that is not appropriate for a reference check

What makes you most happy at work?
The people and culture, and working together on innovative change.
What makes me most happy at work is feeling like I am making a difference. I enjoy working remotely, and keep in close touch with my team via slack and zoom.

The schedule is really good and the work is not to hard.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
We don't care about our customers. We always send them the same crap and keep increasing the prices of our subscriptions
