Jacobs Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Discounted stock purchases after one year.

401K 8% match best I've seen.

equitable pay and work schedule

For me, it's the salary. I'm retired military, so I don't use the medical options.

Parental leave for new parents, agile working arrangement and family benefits

Pension is pretty good compared to other consultancies

Free healthcare, great pension % from employer

Employee stock purchase program benefit

Review from Operations Dept

The salary is the best

The health care package and HSA funds

Raises are good for me

Review from Engineering Dept

There is a wide selection of benefits that I can choose form, if I don't want them the money stays in my salary so I can change what I want as my career and personal circumstances change

paid overtime at 1x hourly rate (for salaried employees in the US)

Review from Engineering Dept

All of the benefits are great

Compensation is adaquate, but not great if you are an expert. If you are entry level, it is really too low. The benifits are well rounded, but pretty average. Again, satisfactory, but not great. You work here because you like the work, not because the pay is great.

Flexible scheduling is a key part of why I joined the team.

I like the contribution matching on my 401K. However, It would be better if the match % increased with employment years: <2yr = 5%, 2-5yr = 7%, 6-10yr = 8.5%, >10yr = 10%

401k matching is very good

Excellent medical coverage for a disabled family member

Great stock, 401k, and benefits plans.

Review from Engineering Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Compensation is fine - difficult to work with immature leadership

All focus is on shareholders and profit rather than compensation for work done

I am not paid much - better pay for a multi-billion dollar company would be nicer!

My current salary is about 40% below the market average; the type of engineering I do is hyper specialized, and half of the time my supervisor doesn't know what I do. The work is interesting, but the pay isn't acceptable.

apple discounts for employees today

Other companies offer better benefits to similar resumes

Our benefits have stagnated and gotten worse over the past few years.

Review from Engineering Dept

Not enough time off or holidays.

Review from Engineering Dept

More honest categorization of employees is needed on every level. Evaluate the jobs you have people in with their labor category/day to day work. Give management and leads pay to be management and leads. What's the point of striving for promotion if you don't get compensated for it?

Review from IT Dept

Base salary need improvement and also medical benifits

Review from IT Dept

Equal Pay and equal opportunities to be provided

Review from Engineering Dept

My salary is good not great, with all the hours we put in, but we are treated fairly. Benefits are standard when working for a company of this size, so there you go.

Review from Engineering Dept

No support within the team, no opportunities to progress and culture of having to resign before they would consider reviewing you salary/package

Review from Engineering Dept

If there was a clear path for promotion. Seems based more on pandering.

Review from IT Dept

Outside of account managers nearly every role is paid significantly under market value. Significantly. Constantly expected to take on more and more responsibilities without any compensation. No annual pay raises whatsoever. Cannot afford to live in the same state as the company.

I dont feel that I am undervalued

Review from Operations Dept

pay a lot for it, plus have a very high deductible

Review from Engineering Dept

We are in a transition and my responsibilities have increased significantly without pay and my predecesor made almost double what I make.
