Management is terrible throughout the ENTIRE company, understaffed, employees who have worked here for years and contributed a lot were let go, managers never do as much as the SRs

Do not care about store employees

I BEEN HERE SINCE NOVEMBER AND I HAVENT EVEN RECIEVED MY FIRST CHECK. CHRISTINA (THE MANAGER) IS PLAYING WITH MY MONEY SHE HAS ALL MY CHECKS VUT SINT GIVE THEM TO ME AT ALL.

I always loved working at kirrkands home i used ti get excited but now its no more fun, managments changed, employees changed and too much of politics and gossips happing and i am the one and my team who is always targeted and i feel to quit working, i dont get excited waking up or excited anymore.

Not much to say, it's a job

We all work together to get things done. This team knows more about what we have in store then the actual manager does, cause he never leaves the back office.

Hiring qualified people for the positions they qualify for, listen to their employees (not just management) definitely pay better and care more about their employees personally

They need to be fired

Leadership provides direction, can listen, is aware of concers or opportunities, fosters development, acknowledges true (not superficial marketing) wins, provides clarity. Leadership invests in their staff & development. Kirkland's has a huge oppertunity to truly develop a leadership culture.

Absolutely Everything. They have no care for their employees or how they treat them.

Communication with the employee's too.. Like having a morning huddle to tell Everyone about brand new policies.

Nothing really better than any other company

I'm underpaid, even though I do just as much work as the majority of the employees and there's no room for advancement unless you're Caucasian or willing to take anything without rebuttal.

Expected to work more than the required 45 hours. Work 6 days a week because of lack of hours. They need to really pay cost of living.

Better pay! District manager need to take action with poor managers

I built my team from scratch. My team is my family, they have my back and we take care of each other. They are great with selling and customer service. We are great at credit cards. They are team players and truly care about their work and each other. They go above the call of duty.

Training and better management skills

If everybody was held to the same standards, things might be different. Coworkers shouldn't be able to do whatever they want or not do whatever they don't want because of race or being friends with management.

Having a morning huddle. That's how we communicated St another retail store I worked in.

It's about helping customers first, and profit second.

We all support each other

Our store. I will never go to another store. Our manager is the difference. Kirklands has no clue how to be positive. They push credit cards, kclub, & sales and they call that customer service. That's making Kirkland's plan not customer service.

Everyone energetic inviting atmosphere Beautiful store

In the beginning it was welcoming and fun, the smells and environment of the shop were uplifiting and the routine of the work was always great to look forward to, I used to really have a great time at work, it was a very happy environment.

Upper management needs HR intervention because we have been treated so horribly since management switched over, I have never seen people be purposely pushed out of a workplace before. They play favorites and the way they act is far from professional. I am disappointed in seeing hard work go unseen.
