La-Z-Boy Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

We have a compensation team that assures we're paid fair market value.

Bonuses are great for those that get them

The weekly draw between commissions

medical, dental, vision, 401k match

Covers the essentials of what I need

I am happy to be receiving benefits!

Compensation at my level is near the bottom for my postion and years of experience and results

I am not able to comment

Time off and affordable health insurance

Insurance included, PTO's, 401k, Pet insurance

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Asked to do far too much wirk

The work we do is NOT worth $11 an hour! Commission is not a worry because at the end of the day its about how much you help the customer but base pay is atrocious in 2023.

HR increase benefit package without any discussion with the staff. I do not get any stock options

I don’t have any stock benefits, our benefits are increased by HR with no discussion with the team on any changes. We have recently gone from 8% to 6%. Not a single person is making more money than they did last year. Management does not care I cannot state that enough. I feel very undervalu

Review from Sales Dept

More active management. They pride themselves on room for growth except thats not actually the case. They chose favorites for the wrong reasons. I watched a coworker be mentally abused and the MSM and HR took no action.

They need higher compensation for anyone who is not in management. The management team is grossly over-compensated.

Annual raises, feel appreciated, job well done

The pay for working with an assistant designer is a disincentive.

La-Z-Boy changed the compensation 3 years ago company wide. This in turn has made my total compensation less every year for the last 3 years, all while working harder and beating all metrics. When I asked for a raise, they dig deep to find some metric that isn't above the year prior for an excuse.

There has been much added to the plate and it feels sometimes like the recognition of the work is not available. Being paid for the work being done.

The compensation plan for sales consultants was really poor. The hourly rate was low and the commission rates were the worst I've ever worked for or seen. It was the worst paying job overall, that I have ever had in sales, and the commission plan created an undervalued effect.

Review from Sales Dept

Competitive pay and better insurance coverage

I believe base rate should be higher because rates are too difficult to obtain on harder chairs.

Company focuses on profit only
