Lamar Advertising Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

The potential income in Bonus opportunities

Review from Sales Dept

The variety of coverage available.

Health Insurance and wellness programs.

Review from Executive Dept

Great insurance, along with all of the other benefits like stock, Virgin Pulse cash BenefitsHub.

Review from Marketing Dept

Getting paid on time every month.

Bonuses are nice and they give incentive days off for good work.

it's just fine....nothing I would say is 'the best'

Well, the salary/bonus structure in and of itself is great to start with. Still, I specifically appreciate the Stock Options and ability to buy common stock at a discount each quarter.

It covers everything I need

i do not have a favorite part. The package is great as a whole.

I like the incentive package

I like the Stock Program.

Review from IT Dept

Stock plan and GM bonus structure

I really love the 401K, and Health Advocate. Our wellness program is also so fun

Time off is generous. Support staff receiving bonuses for achieving specific goals is appreciated.

Benefit package, specifically medical plan

Health and dental insurance package

We have a generous PTO policy. I never feel like I am running out of PTO.

I would prefer that RMs be equally compensated in wages & stock rather than the 80/20 split.

The bonus structure, but it could be modified slightly

Review from Executive Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Consistent high level performers deserve a higher level base pay. Those that outperform others on a timeline scale are more valuable to the company. And the company is at more risk to lose those individuals

A yearly cost of living raise should be giver to all employees.

Company don't care about pay

Merit increases should be awarded yearly and not every two years. The expectation is for you to perform each year above and beyond, so why shouldn't a successful company follow the same rules for merit increases.

Review from Executive Dept

There's no way to advance that easily in the creative areas of each plant.

I heavily invested in my occupation financially. I should be compensated to at least the industry standard.

Review from Operations Dept

I don't think it's the right approach to not give GM's, SM's and RM's raises - only bonus opportunities.

A raise would be great. 3% a year is nothing with inflation.

Pay gaps are just huge. Being with the company a long time is not rewarded at all.

Wages have not kept up with cost of living. Going backwards. auto reimbursement often does not cover expenses. Company insurance requirements cost delays and cause inefficiencies, which impact cashflow and bonuses.

Review from Executive Dept

I am not paid the same as my counterparts.

Provide a Salary increase. Cost of living has increased exponentially while salaries have remained the same for years.

Had I been hired on at Corporate I would have a more significant job title and at least be an AVP by this point rather than having no professional advancement or title change in the past 13 years and nearly 20 years with Lamar.

I believe that Lamar is one of the best companies in the advertising industry to work for. I believe the leadership is the best but unfortunately, the compensation doesn't match. It's the thing I battle with daily not only for myself but also to keep staff happy.

Review from Sales Dept

Hasn't changed. Review of status of base pay

A higher hourly rate would help me feel more valued in my possition.

I do not believe the pay is where it should be for the position or comparable for the industry.

Review from Executive Dept

As a long-term veteran it is disheartening to not receive any merit increases or wage adjustments to reward and reflect the value I provide. I believe the base pay is out of step with the marketplace and my value to the organization

I feel that I should be paid more for having an MBA. I am also part of the Creative Circle, and that does not pay anything extra.

There is no opportunity for any type of advancement and for the past two years I have been told not to expect a raise because I fall at the top of some arbitrary pay scale for my position
