Lamar Advertising Environment Employee Reviews

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

We have a fun work place. We work hard and laugh alot

Review from Sales Dept

They value tradition even while they strive to be competitive in today's marketplace.

Everyone gets along and show true concern for one another.

Review from Executive Dept

Lamar treats their employees like family and gives us the best events and get togethers.

Review from Marketing Dept

We are truly a team and a family , we help each other out.

very much open communication and transparecny in our office

Lamar seems to focus on treating their employees great to maintain good company practices with clients.

The company is very laid back

The environment is family oriented.

Review from Executive Dept

some of us are friends outside of work

We are encouraged to grow and not just "manage" the company.

It's very inclusive and positive

Everyone strives for a common goal of success for the individual office and the company as a whole.

Everyone is very courteous and friendly.

Review from Operations Dept

We are very family oriented

Team interaction and opportunity for growth.

Lots of group building activities like ArtCon

We have a group of people here I feel are basically family locally

Flexible work hours and environment

Review from Executive Dept

The creative community is very supportive of each other.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

New managers it proper training on how to treat people woth respect. They are homophobic, trans phobic and put down anyone theat doesnt go along with their religious or political views.

Having preference with some pleople

Review from Operations Dept

Managament showing they care and acknowledging our work, even when we are not making numbers

Review from Sales Dept

COMMUNICATION!! Trust all employees. Treat all employees all the same. Able to talk to each other, even in other departments and not get accused of something that is not happening from upper management. To go to upper management with issues and concerns and not get yelled at or put down

Review from Sales Dept

Better incentives, compensation that keeps up with cost of living, valued employees,

Review from Operations Dept

Been equally to all employees

Review from Operations Dept

manager needs to either be more aware of the faults and lack of effort by certain team members. I shouldn't have to be responsible for overseeing how others work and making sure they are working. Less effective employees need to be addressed and management needs to be changed if this continues

HYBRID SCHEDULE and/or more flexibility

Not being chained to a desk all day

Actually care about the safety and wellbeing of all your coworkers and subordinates instead of just saying it to Ops in a safety meeting or on a kiosk. Follow corporate guidance on safety in teams, better strobe lighting on trucks would improve the appearance that management cares about your safety.

The way the GM talks to his employees.

Review from Sales Dept

No room for work life balance; company won't change policies to be consistent with current and post-Covid work (no hybrid schedules are allowed and only chosen corporate staff are allowed to work from home)

LET. US. WORK. FROM. HOME. You can't claim to be an environmentally-friendly company and then demand everyone drive to and from work every day when your employees can just as easily work from home, and be much happier doing it!

The company as a whole is great, my department needs a lot of work

Maybe do celebrations, maybe have a contest on best decorated cubicle for a theme or holiday.

Direct feedback. Goals clearly laid out and proper chain of command.

Review from Sales Dept

We need to be shown that we are valued. But after that we were shown with I raises that are ops manager wants us to move on to a different company even though his last hire is like a third of a person.

Review from Operations Dept

Peoples attitudes towards the company and leadership

Review from Operations Dept

Upper management needs to get along and do their job.

Review from Sales Dept

I sometimes feel disconnected from other people in our office and wish there was more of a team feel so that we could go to each other with questions and ideas more often
