I think that it is time for culture to change. People should feel motivated and encouraged, not intimidated. Additionally, it could be more welcoming for newer employees with different views.
What are some of the best things about your team?
They are supportive and friendly. Teamwork is well valued and encouraged.
What makes you most happy at work?
Completing a tough task that I have put a lot of work into. It is rewarding to see the fruits of your labor.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They aren't so "far away" from us. Since this company is still on the smaller side, it is easy to connect with people of all levels
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I feel that the salaries could be a little higher, but the benefits do make up for it somewhat. I think that more words of encouragement and less motivation by intimidation is needed.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
I think that people sometimes do not know what an appropriate work conversation is. I have heard distasteful comments, political squabbles, and significant negative talk about other people and or departments. Intelligence is commonly insulted, and I do not find that productive.
