Briefly describe your overall experience at your company

There are a few toxic people, unfortunately my role has to deal with them routinely, thus my currently negative opinion. Previously almost everything was positive. It's unfortunate, we have lost some great people because of this and it's changed the entire mood of the department.

In general it has been pretty positive, up until the more recent years. It seems we are growing quickly the last few years and a lot is getting lost in the advancement in regard to how people are treated.

What makes you most happy at work?

My work - which I really enjoy, and my peers.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

The Leadership Team is driven, they are very focused on the success of the company.

What makes you most happy at work?

The actual work; I enjoy the work that I'm doing, I have an important role ensuring the quality of the products the company manufactures.

What are some of the best things about your team?

My direct manager is very supportive, a tremendous asset, and full of valuable information. My peers are also generally amazing people, very smart, helpful, and all around pleasant.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

The feeling that everyone is working towards the same overall goal - even if personalities clash - at the end of the day, we all want the product(s) and the company to be successful.

What makes you most happy at work?

My comfort level - I know I do my job really well - I'm good at it. I'm proud of the work I do, and I really don't think just anyone could do it.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Raises are not given appropriately, or timely, or based on performance. Merit increases across the board that are below the rate of inflation don't count. Toxic management that plays favorites and gives undeserved promotions are an obvious issue.

What are some of the best things about your team?

Most coworkers and team members feel like we are all in it together, on the same page, part of the solution, helping to advance the company and get quality products to patients. The camaraderie and family style relationships are the best.

What are some of the best things about your team?

Many of them have been at MannKind for years - and treat each other like family. This means you can generally speak open and honestly with each other. Everyone is looking forward to the success of the company (with a few minor exceptions).

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

The company has started to do a lot more in regard to community events, various improvements to the site, staff events, etc. Many of them have been great, and while you can't make everyone happy, most of these things are appreciated by the majority.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

The vision of the executive leadership team is great - they have ideas and thoughts on how to achieve them. The departmental leadership is lacking in several areas and often create a toxic environment for some of the personnel. Continuous efforts to address the issues are disregarded.

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Everyone could use "more" these days - more (higher) salary, better insurance benefits (or company pays larger portion), better 401K match, more stock, etc. But when you really look at the details - MannKind is really doing well in these areas (insurance, 401K, stock) in my opinion.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Consistently exceeding expectations and not getting acknowledged for it, no raises (except across the company merit), no promotions, etc. An AD that consistently tries to undermine the work of the team because he is only interested in making himself look good to the ELT when he is underqualified.
