Overall, Metlife is decent to their employees. I've been laid off before but within days was called back.
What makes you most happy at work?
Just getting out of the house. Having somewhere to go where I know I make a difference.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The group I work with is very knowledgeable and we do tend to stick together and watch each other's backs.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Doing what I love to do! I enjoy working with the technology and working behind the scenes of the websites that the public sees and uses.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
They need to appreciate the people they have. We recently went through layoffs where they made some of IT reapply for their own jobs that were being relocated to North Carolina at a lower wage. A lot of us are making close or over 6 figures and they want to cut that to THEY can improve their comp.
