Morgan Stanley Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Compensation is only limited by time and energy put forth

fair allocation and vesting schedule

Stock plan, vision that supports ownership.

Review from Finance Dept

All the new 2021 upgrades are amazing

Annual bonus and 401K match

The payout rate is status quo for the industry

Review from Sales Dept

Great pay, benefits are solid

Solid compensation. 100% 401K match on 5% of income. Maternal and Paternal leave. All the other basics health, vision, life covered at par with other major companies.

Review from Customer Support Dept

commission structure no limit to earnings potential

Annual bonus is generous and my benefits include my domestic partner

Review from Sales Dept

Quarterly Bonus structure and salary compensation

Review from Sales Dept

They have a fair package

Review from Operations Dept

My health benefits to include my HSA and FSA

Matching 401k

Review from Sales Dept

The 401k match is the best part of my compensation package.

Comp is fair across the board

Room for growth in the company

Review from Finance Dept

Good benefits and predictable increases

Review from Finance Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

A significant hike would be better

I believe that I deserve to be compensated equally to my male colleagues, based on my skills, experience, and contributions to the company.

Direct management would tell people you are not valued. The best people quit because of insecure management who bullied them out.

Yes - direct manager would regularly state "you add no value"

The company should pay more towards your monthly deductable.

Provide pay increases to keep up with inflation

Lowest pay on the market

I am underpaid relative to my peers at other companies, and my pay was decided arbitrarily by my boss

Review from Marketing Dept

Receiving a better payout based on my revenue would make me feel a lot better about working at Morgan Stanley.

The firm takes too much of my gross revenue and spreads it out as deferred compensation while cutting services provided

Review from Sales Dept

company is too cheap for its employees

Review from Customer Support Dept

Lousy 401k options. Lousy medical benefits

Promotions in technology are based off tenure more than merit

A lot of unconscious bias. Women in very senior positions are rare. Women get paid significantly less than men in the same role. They are having problems retaining women.

Because the comp is skewed towards a few

Review from Finance Dept

Given the type of work, we are underpaid compared to peers.

Scope of duties line is often blurred. Some are overworked while majority are easy coasting. Meanwhile we make same or the lazy ones make more! Company talks of change but never takes actions to improve situations. "We'll take that away" is often the only response. Underwhelming.
