What do you like best about the leadership team?
They are focused on making sure we make progress in our work while ensuring we have a great place to work.
Good vision for smart transportation. Practice what they preach, and aren't prima donnas.
They all are finding new ways to learn and advance inside the organization.
They try to work with my needs as an employee

Opportunity for pension. State health plan is good.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Lower pay than private sector.
communicaton and assistance from those who are more exprienced in the job
I keep get over looked because of civil right movement. To be promoted for my ability and not the color of my skin.
What are some of the best things about your team?
They are down-to-earth and good people.
They're good people, with good hearts who are positive.
working together as a teamto get the job finished

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Work at home since March!
The work/life balance is excellent. No one looking over my shoulder. My manager has my back.
it's very diversified and rich in culture
We have privacy to accomplish our duties.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
not sure, better communication and care
Better environment (the building I'm in is a dump), need to do more business-related engagement activities to meet the team and collaborate more effectively. Need to eliminate "old boys" network.

Structured interview with team interview.
Structured questions and panel interview.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?
Have the interview team approach interview role to capture different aspects (e.g., technical, cultural fit, role fit, etc.)

Manageable workload, making a difference.
The people are kind, considerate, and mission-focused.

There is a very nasty subculture of "we can't do anything" and incredibly backwards business practices.
