I love working with the patients. The days can be tough and you really have to want to work with psych patients. Good pay and benefits. Management struggles to communicate at times. Higher ratios and have to be on your toes

Care more about employees safety

From the top on down there needs to be accountability and a person who actually cares.

Communicate at least by email, set standards that all staff must follow, even them. Be transparent, approachable, and be a mentor to us. We all want to be better. There is a wide gap between how your are treating and how their friends are treated.

High pay and lot of perks. Core benefits are okay but pay day advances and discounts are great

NPH pays above market for many positions, but their time off policy is good. We get 21 days off a year, and we can use them however we want. Retirement match and a lot of fringe perks, too.

Base your evals on what gets DONE and not what my education is versus other's education in leadership. Knowledge is taught (and forgotten), experience/wisdom is earned (lessons are learned, not forgotten).

Terminate people who disrespect patients, take excessive breaks and stay on phones.
