Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility at New Energy Equity

In 2020, New Energy Equity established an incentive program to reach the ambitious goals we set for the year. For each goal we met, a sum up to $25,000 would be set aside to donate to a deserving charity. This program allowed for teams within the company to advocate for their favorite charity. After each team presented their organization, we made the decision to establish a foundation where we could help multiple of the suggested organizations that help our community. Through the “Lift As We Climb Foundation”, New Energy Equity will donate a new solar system to Chesapeake Region Accessible Boating, and divide the sum of our donation between three local charitable organizations. New Energy has additionally authorized an additional day off in 2021 to volunteer for anything that benefits the Chesapeake Bay. Additionally, New Energy will donate $100 to that non-profit for every day that an employee spends with that organization.
