What's the office vibe like at Nike?
Top Employee Response
WHQ friendly but driven. Stores don’t spend too much time in the office
Chill not too stressful and friendly
Casual but driven.
What are your coworkers at Nike like?
Top Employee Response
Most of them are nice.
coworkers are awesome leadership is too heavy - too many layers - too much bureaucracy and senior leaders have to approve EVERYTHING. we are not empowered
Collaborative yet siloed (even according to Mark Parker's employee all hands 5/3/2018). Fierce yet friendly (most of the time). Know your stuff and be at the top of your game and engagement, and you'll fit in just fine here.
How secure do you feel at your job at Nike?
Top Employee Response
Very secure
Most of the time great. Suddenly things can change. Age and weight mean a lot. Don’t EVER believe it doesn’t. It is a fitness brand.
About as secure as I feel in any company. Maybe a little more so because Nike is generally very profitable and stable
How can I improve my chances of being hired at Nike?
Like sports, live healthy. Love to run!
Build a network internally or come on as an ETW (temp) Many roles are filled by ETWs that get converted.
Be white, athletic, put on a good performance, and be willing to take whatever your manager hands out with a smile
What kind of people succeed at Nike?
Top Employee Response
People who are ok with ambiguity, who like and are not afraid of change. People who can work in an unstructured yet demanding environment
People into sports and if you are into running/healthy. You must work a lot

What are you most excited about working at Nike?
Our factory partners are wonderful
I love the brand
Flexible summer hours (leaving at noon every Friday).
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Nike?
Nike has a lot of people in high positions who have been there forever and are complacent. They don’t value outside experiences in leadership - only what you’ve done at NIKE.
Less silos and more rapid DevOps culture + continuous deployment with more opportunities to move around teams and/or objectives for greater career breadth (still possible but requires changing positions every year or two at the company to accomplish through formal interview process).
I would strive to hire more women in the Nike Digital Engineering division.
