Laughing about the job and with different people. Laughing a lot definitely helps the unpleasant parts.
Better pay is always welcome. Saying it is not in the budget this year doesn't work or help moral. Never did.
The coworkers, there is a bond within certain departments that make everything better. When we are upset we vent to each other.
As a team they tend to pull together in almost a "I have your back" mentality. Going back to the meetings they are usually more unhelpful then resolving anything.
To focus more on the gut of where all the performance is coming from (different depts, quality and the amount of work being done that higher ups take for granted). Upper management gets complacent.
