Learning with work life balance. Everyone is equal in work.
company team leaders and culture
Review from Engineering Dept
The positive attitude at the top mostly cascades down. There are lingering issues with culture that are difficult to pin down. If you ping a co-worker and never receive a response that's just how it is. Other companies (Fortune 100) I worked with had intra-company SLA's which may work here.
The culture problem is palpable. There is supposedly an open door which is a mirage. Leadership between me and the top has gotten far more levels. The CEO promised this would be resolved when he started but it has been exacerbated in the other direction. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians.
The energy - it is palpable and motivating. I love the excitement about what we are doing and achieving. We provide tremendous value to our customers and give back to our communities. You can't beat it!
Lots of collaboration with teammates.
The employees are trying to keep a positive outlook given all the management issues.
The diversity of the company is amazing and the future changes, I hope will start steering Nuance to and its other divisions more strength
I telecommute so no need for awkward conversations with coworkers you don't care for
The company is multi-cultural but the environment is at home.
I work at home so not applicable.
Everything that this company does is deyrimemtsl
Kindness and compassion over highly unreasonable deadlines
Not good. It became even worse as the layoffs became more and more. Only to find out that Nuance was doing away with the MLS department and outsourcing all the work to companies that pay less than half what Nuance paid.
too much angst about the next round of layoffs, too much work being sent offshore, quality analysis made less punitive and less impact on "good" work
Less managerial rule by fear
Flexibility is great, but there is very little effort to have people interact when they are in office - remove the cubes!
Review from Engineering Dept
The OT is very negative. Very little positive reinforcement and NO REWARDS! The OT is everything when it comes to a productive team.
Honest communication. Acting on input from the employees. Acknowledge that employees are human. Address employee morale.
