If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Nuance Communications?
Top Employee Response
More diversity needed there. Male/female ratios and people of color.
The support center should handle more support calls instead of passing them off on field service.
stop offshoring, give back something at Christmas, get rid of the petty punitive QA scoring
What does the leadership team at Nuance Communications need to get better at?
Top Employee Response
Consider People instead of the bottom line. Stopping travel does not promote well being among dispersed team members.
They are out of touch with the life of employees, what we go through and have to put up with. Doctors and dictators are not perfect.
The OTs need to know SOMETHING about their team. Mine has never looked at my application OR file! Communication is horrible!
What part of Nuance Communications's business is growing fastest? What part is having difficulties?
Healthcare is growing the fastest.
I worked for them for 5 years. They do not care about the U.S. Medical Language Specialists, only about making money at out expense. The U.S. workers do the bulk of the harder jobs while being very underpaid, with promises of more money in the future which the company finds every reason not to give you once you reach your goals. If you question what is happening or why your hard work does not pay off, you are just passed along to another supervisor or manager with less and less work until you can no longer afford to stay and are forced to quit. The fasted growing part is the offshore work for other countries who do not have the job integrity of that the U.S. workers have.

What do people at Nuance Communications think about the CEO? What do they do well and what can they improve?
He likes to clean house and reduce headcount.
the CEO leads the offshore march... and the domestic workforce that built the company on all the hospital contracts Nuance bought up don't think much of his leadership. stop offshoring and leave some good steady work for us that live in the US!
Not much - just look at the ratings. To be honest it doesn't seem to be his fault and things have been better in recent months
What are your coworkers at Nuance Communications like?
Most are professional and easy to work with - it's management that is either inaccessible or just plain redundant.
Hard to know since you don't work with anyone else and have very little contact with anyone except your team lead.
Bright, hardworking, and committed technology professionals.
What needs to change to make the company culture better at Nuance Communications?
Top Employee Response
Honest communication. Acting on input from the employees. Acknowledge that employees are human. Address employee morale.
The OT is very negative. Very little positive reinforcement and NO REWARDS! The OT is everything when it comes to a productive team.
Flexibility is great, but there is very little effort to have people interact when they are in office - remove the cubes!
What's going wrong and how can it be improved at Nuance Communications?
Top Employee Response
Hmmm ... hire new management! Your OTs attitudes are horrible towards their team members!
Bad employee morale
Can't get excited when you know you are not going to make money and they are going to make a new rule to dock what pay you are getting.
