    The company is private equity owned, so there is no stock opportunity for the rank-and-file employee. Bonuses are also not terribly generous. If both of these are something you're looking for, consider Cisco.

  • unlimited to US employees, however the work load and constant-crisis mode means that taking time off is extremely challenging. Genesys moved from PTO to open time off since employees were unable to take their allotted vacation time

  • In the Us - Vacations are not limited - anyone can take all the vacatiins days needed. In the other countries, the law of single countries are rigorously observed or exeeced.

  • NPS is also regularly measured, analyzed and discussed. There are also transactional surveys. Since it's a contact center company, they take it very seriously and make a lot of effort to improve. There is often discussion between engineering and customer service, but it could be better.

  • Again, it is a good group as far as giving internal opportunities. But be careful. A friend of mine applied for a higher level job and while she got the position, she was hinted by the hiring manager and the recruiter about a possible salary level which acceptable to her but still far below the paygrade for the position, only for HR to step in and cut the offer even more based on her current salary. Even worse is that my friend was in a sales position and had to lose all of her commission pay, so basing a raise off of her base salary was not fair at all. The recruiter involved was also tossed under the bus and fired.

  • The answer can depend on the product to which you are assigned (3 different groups). In general I would say poor. This is the key reason I chose to leave the company.

  • The company encourages people to apply for jobs internally. Watch out though. If you apply for a higher level job they will make sure you get a minimal raise, even if it is far below the paygrade for the position.

  • I would say Genesys is generally a little ahead of its competitors in innovation. Not being publicly traded, the company has more flexibility to make acquisitions and try new ideas instead of hyper focus on profits to maintain the approval of the shareholders.
