Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
Nylas has had a rough couple of years, with growing pains and really devastating turn-over on certain teams. That said, there are some really special people here. If you're able to stay heads-down and focus on your work, you can carve out a nice spot for yourself at a company.

we have regular all-company culture events, like happy hours and yoga

The team is small and nimble and trust one another to get things done.

I got to meet a lot of people from various departments during the on-site interview process.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The benefits are fairly basic: no company matching 401k, no Kaiser healthcare option, no formalized bonus structure.

We have communal lunches and lots of team events which help us really get to know our coworkers.

my team is filled with smart and humble people who are always willing to jump in and help out

Nylas trusts its employees with a lot of responsibility and project ownership. It's a great way to get lots of projects under your belt and grow quickly in what you do.

nylas states clearly that they will not be able to pay the most in the industry. they aim to retain employees through the fact that at a small startup you'll learn quickly and advance your career.
