What's the work from home policy like at PagerDuty?
Most roles have the option to work in-office, hybrid, or from home/anywhere! Even for the folks who are office-based, it's a very flexible environment.
It's great here. For my team, we're pretty flexible when you need to work from home, whether it's because you have a doctor's appointment or the Caltrain is delayed. I believe it's similar across the other eng teams as well
It's terrific. Employees can WFH any day they like. Since we have so many remote employees we are already optimized for people not being in the same office together,
How's the work life balance at PagerDuty?
Since the pandemic, we've had an extra 3 day weekend every month for wellness, which has been super popular amongst employees! We call them Dutonian Wellness Days :)

What do people at PagerDuty think about the CEO? What do they do well and what can they improve?
People LOVE Jennifer Tejada. She's a very charismatic and motivating leader. She's also firm on our ID&E commitment - she's building a tech company like I've never seen before.
The CEO is a model CEO for other organizations to observe and emulate. She is kind yet driven.
Jennifer is a rock star who is always available and always has her eye on the next big opportunity.
Does PagerDuty have a volunteer program?
Yes! You get 20 hours PTO for volunteering. You can choose where you volunteer, but the company also organizes lots of opportunities to use your volunteer time off.

Does PagerDuty have any remote positions?
Yes - PagerDuty may offer remote work depending on the role. We have a number of engineers who work remotely, and quite a few sales roles spread across the US too.
Yes, we work mostly in Toronto and San Francisco, and there are some remote workers elsewhere in the world.
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at PagerDuty?
Since most folks are remote now, it would be nice to have team off-sites for socializing and collaboration in-person a couple times a year.
We are doing a good job today. No major changes.

We do team outings sometimes.

Wear whatever you want.
What is PagerDuty's policy towards pets in the workplace?
No pets. (I've worked at a company that allows dogs, and while it's fun, it's also a huge mess, even when owners have the best intentions.)

There haven't been any.

Very focused and nimble. I never wonder if those at the top know what's going on.
