What do you wish you knew before starting at Panera Bread?
I wish I would’ve known that we weren’t allowed to clean anything while wearing gloves according to “protocol.” I also wish I would’ve known how incredibly understaffed they were and how I would be responsible for several different positions simultaneously. Dishwashing has no interacting but is also gross.
Attempt to avoid customers. Dishwashing is by far the best position, seconded by baking. These positions have almost no customer interaction, and you can listen to music with both of them. I was a dishwasher for a year and I could listen to music for six hours and subconsciously wash dishes- and get paid for it. Awesome.
How much weight I would gain from eating so much bread!!
How long after an interview at Panera Bread does it take to hear back?
I applied online and got a call back the next day, i had an interview 3 days after they called me, it’s been 2 days since my interview i haven’t heard back yet.
I personally finished my interview and the general manager asked when I wanted to start right there and then. Panera's always desperate for employees because everyone quits after like two weeks.
They’ll hire you on the spot if you meet all the requirements. If they say they let you know if you got the job. You probably didn’t get it.
