It depends greatly on the manager responsible. Some are handled with grace, compassion and professionalism; others are as little as an e-mail directive to meet/call HR.
How challenged are you at Pearson?
I am somewhat challenged.
How's the leadership on the Product team at Pearson plc?
They know what their doing and enable a very collaborative, positive work environment. However, decision making and committing to product changes can be a bit slow and very conservative.

Work pace is a rollercoaster. It just depends on that week. It balances out and is nothing that is unmanageable and there is always support from other team members.

The people with better connections. There can be lots of roadblocks regardless of skill. You kind of get grandfathered into the position and pay you started with and can expect a 2% increase each year.

Depends on what team you are on. Some teams have better dynamics than others. As a whole the company occasionally plans outings such as volunteer work or field day.

Diversity is normal. It’s mostly a trendy younger employee base apartment from leadership.

The morale is normal. Not high or low. I have faith in the company and believe it is a great company to work for but management can be confusing at times.

Pay seems good at first but once your acclimated you begin to learn that your job is more like 3 jobs/titles combined into one. If your a dedicated employee with determination the role will make you feel important but the pay won’t show it.

The marketing department is vast and segmented. Every segment is different depending on the team involved. In general the department is supportive of each other with common goals.
How's the leadership on the Marketing team at Pearson?
Immediate leadership is very supportive and helpful without micromanaging. However, further leadership seems to be MIA a lot of the time.
What's the vibe like in the Marketing dept at Pearson? How many hours are you working?
The vibe is friendly. People are in and out of meetings caborating and on WFH days the office is a ghost town. Depending what position you hold and where you sit it may be louder or quieter depending on the spectrum of creativity and collaboration going on.

He is not a strong leader and hasn't been able to turn the companies financial performance around

It's very political
Does Pearson have any remote positions?
Yes. Half our team is remote. They'd rather keep a strong employee than lose them and not be able to rehire.
