Providence Health & Services Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

It all works out ok in the end

Equitable and fair and good research in what they offer

Review from IT Dept

Health insurance that is paid for by the company

Providence Health Plan is mediocre, but salary benefits were fair.

Retirement benefits are quite good

Healthcare benefits are fairly generous compared to other organizations and PTO policy and amounts are also generous.

Pay not benefits and mission work

Matching retirement benefits, incentives for health benefits

Review from Operations Dept

I get good benefits for health, dental, and vision. I rarely have to pay out of pocket.

Medical benefits including the HRA spending account.

I am able to save for retirement.

Review from Customer Support Dept

I work per diem so I do not get benefits. I do have 401k where they are able to match my contributions

Review from Operations Dept

You are given HSA money every year to help with your higher deductible which is appreciated.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

The position I'm in does not accurately reflect the work I do but the hiring manager was very clear that the job was not a software development position (my usual work). The reality though is that I've had to utilize my software development & ETL skills to achieve the results they want.

Spread the wealth from the work I do down to the employees at my level.

Started in the late 90's. We had great benefits, PTO, and actual bonuses. One year bonuses stopped. Treated employees as replacable robots. Found HR should have reccomended I claim medical compensation after I was forced to leave due to severe stress caused by the unrealistic expectations from mgrs

Getting more adequate raises regularly

There is a lack of support for non-physician staff. Physicians are valued but nurses are treated as replaceable, especially advanced practice clinicians.

Review from Operations Dept

Because im bullied and manager does nothing

Stop cutting wages, PTO, and firing seasoned staff so you can hire inexperienced workers at half the rates. Admin should be exoetienced medical physicians, not MPH or MBA that make up ridiculous patient care policies.

more staff for overworked Covid-19 employees. they keep laying off people and yet made 72 million in profit for 2020.

I feel as supervisors they could be more upfront about the amount of overtime you put in being salaried. Had I known that I may have asked for more. At the same time, I could move to any job in the company and get more.

We need better prescription/pharmacy coverage.

Review from IT Dept

No stock and limited bonus

Leadership team is all about themselves

Review from IT Dept

I believe the company retirement contribution is pitifully low.

Review from Customer Support Dept

I would like to be rewarded for going above and beyond and adding measurable economic value through my work.

Doing patient care takes a lot of work and knowledge. We are underpaid for the risks that we are exposed to on a daily basis and the work that is given to us. Administration likes to fill their pockets while all employees are paid very little in comparison to other hospitals of different companies.

Review from Customer Support Dept

As a senior level worker in my role, my pay is lower than most organizations by about $10-$20K.
