They sell you on a false dream... at the end of the day Publix is nothing but a corporate cult. Don't fall into their trap. Once you start climbing up the ladder, you start seeing all the flaws. Management doesn't truly care about you or your well being as a person, you are just another warm body.

I was hired within 5 minutes of submitting an application.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Respecting the chain of authority (younger workers think they are able to talk back to staff without repercussions)
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Treating and respecting employee's better. Listening to their concerns and actually finding a solutions instead of brushing it to the side.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Pay is not terrible, but for what you have to put up with, its not always worth it. In some situations, you are a glorified baby sitter, and actually child care providers are getting far better compensation.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Managers tend to care more about the image of the store, the store's bottoms line over any well being of employees. From personal experience, they cared more about kicking out someone using fraudulent coupons, vs actually taking care of a customer harassing customers and employees.
