they have a open door policy and are fair and understanding

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Leadership Reviews

Leadership team needs to try being Honest with the customers and employees...

Get involved with what really goes on in each field office/shop. Staff members are treated unfairly, dismissed, or discharged when they have been loyal for decades without any verbals in their records.

Stop forcing the upsell constantly

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Compensation Reviews

The bonuses are a great part of the compensation package.

Great health insurance, IRA 3% match, training/development opportunities, and flexibility for paid time off.

have medical, dental, eye care at minimal cost to me. there are incentives for doing good work and getting compliments from customers

this is a great place towork i love it here

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Compensation Reviews

Compensation would not be an issue if the staff was treated as part of the corporation, not independent contractors. There is absolutely no loyalty to the staff, nor the customers. If they don't make money they (Roto Rooter) increase the prices to the clients.

Forced to upsell but make no commission on it

What are some of the best things about your team?

Team Reviews

We collaborate effectively to brainstorm solutions and work closely together towards a shared goal.

Everyone contributes in a positive manner and can work independently while being an important part of the Roto-Rooter family.

We all work closely with each other. We usually get along well and help each other

There are no teams, everybody is alone here. We make friends amongst each other, help one another but there is no Team in Roto-Rooter at all.

Most all technicians will help eachother when you need it.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

Team Reviews

Be more interactive and communicate

Stop working against each other

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Environment Reviews

We help each other be successful

Everyone operates so that efficiency is always a top priority.

co workers are friends and everyone gets along, have a clean environment to work around and makes working fun

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Environment Reviews

They need to focus on the managers that deal with the teams, the problem is poor management skills, zero knowledge of the industry, and pushing staff to make money regardless of the job or the client needs. Only certain team members are allowed to do preform money making jobs, the rest struggle.

all about sell sell sell not quality workmanship

What did you like most about the interview process?

Interviews Reviews

I appreciated the interviewer's patience in answering all my questions about the position.

Open and pretty easy but not totally forthcoming

Making sure that the candidate will be a good fit for the team and clients. Being able to work with people in a professional and calm manner is important to the success of the company and it protects each persons ability to do well when the clients are happy.

The first interview was remote. They contacted me. Very positive experience.

It was decades ago, a lot has changed. They don't hire skilled staff as they used to, and they do not keep good trainers around for promer training.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Outlook Reviews

Stop price gouging to meet numbers, treat staff as team members, and give all the same opportunity to train to make money doing what they love. Don't run the senior staff away simply because they make more commission.
