Rover.com Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Is reviewed fairly and regularly

Its easy to use. Its safe and reassuring to and the money is used accurately with tips, taxes and based on sifferent services. Its also adjustable based on your standards and specific services. I think its a great way to provide services for everyone.

Pet PTO, RSU's and our PTO is best in class

I think the overall holistic offer is competitive when you look at benefits & perks, salary and equity.

The stock options are amazing, however, *everyone* still deserves to make a livable wage. I work in T&S operations and make $1,800 a month after tax. Rover makes millions per month and could afford to pay everyone double our pay and still be very profitable

Review from Operations Dept

Health insurance is a great help

I make money to play with dogs! What?

Review from Sales Dept

You set your rates accordingly.

Review from Operations Dept

That I get to choose how much I charge

Review from Operations Dept

Base pay was an improvement over previous position and in-line with expectations for a mid/late-stage startup, though not as competitive with the name-brand large corporations in the area.

Quick and efficient payments directly into my checking account

knowing I have one. Gives you a feeling of worth and stability

It is getting to watch animals

stock options and health benefits

Review from HR Dept

Equity, given that I believe in the company's leadership and mission.

Review from Marketing Dept

i guess the sick time

Review from Customer Support Dept

100% bus fare covered as well as the $1000 to go towards adopting, rescuing or purchasing a new dog!

Review from Customer Support Dept

Love the Sherpaa benefit, the pay is fair, the PTO is awesome as is our maternity leave and I think our equity will pay off big time!

Review from HR Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Rover takes 20% from pet sitters pay. This is separate from State and Federal income taxes, which sitters additionally have to file and pay with no assistance. The CEO makes over $5 million.

Review from Operations Dept

Rover pays substantially less than other companies. I feel like Rover.com could afford to pay us more than $15 per hour and still be very profitable.

Review from Operations Dept

Because they harassed me there

Review from Customer Support Dept

I wish Rover provided independent people like full time sitters with benefits, not sure when I'm going to do when I need health insurence. I also wish I didn't have set my prices high knowing I won't recieve 30% of what my clients are paying me.

I do not have benefits. I am a walker. Would like very much to become a customer service representative as well as remain a Rover walker.

If I made any money I would feel better about having spent money on the safety check

if it offered health benefits if you work full-time

Review from Customer Support Dept

I love the company and the job, the fees are just a bit high.

Review from Sales Dept

Comparison with other companies shows market issues

Review from HR Dept

There just aren’t enough job opportunities and the money the site takes from your oay makes it almost not worth it if you dont hav a bunch of jobs lined up. A lot of

Review from Operations Dept

Again, different because we set our own rate. But due to the fact we can only charge so much for a 30 min dog walk, I think they should invest in helping us move on to more opportunities after awhile.

Review from Operations Dept

No clear path to advancement; pay is below industry averages for this area

Matching 401k would make a significant difference.

Review from Marketing Dept

I'd like to make market value for my role. I'm close but still underpaid per several online results.

Review from HR Dept

I think the the vacation policy is great for a US company but still not competitive globally.
