SCAN was founded in 1977 by a group of twelve diverse senior activists in Long Beach, California who were determined to improve access to the care and services they needed so they could stay healthy and independent. They brought together experts in medicine, gerontology, psychology, and social services and formed the not-for-profit Senior Care Action Network, now known as SCAN. What do you like best about the leadership team?

Visionary leadership always thinking a few steps ahead.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Take care of your employees- compensate them fairly, help manage their workload so they can drive impact, and start showing meaningful appreciation. Instead of stripping away benefits quietly, adress why they are leaving or on pause ( like recharge days)

Leaders here should at least give support to the staff because work isn't only stressful but also exhausting. Not having anyone to help you is just terrible.
