They asked me what my last meal on earth would be and it was a difficult question. Also, learning about how the company works and hearing about the culture.
What are some of the best things about your team?
A team that not only supports each other but isn't afraid to question. At SideChef, I work with many different departments. Being about to help each team and seeing teams cross-over to help others achieve results that move our company forward has been very energizing.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The culture of empowering others really resonates with me. We design products that empower our users and the company designs and environment that empowers me. This feels especially significant to me as a woman in tech. Providing time to improve my professional development has been key.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Great leaders don't just have vision, they have the grit to go after it. The SideChef leadership team is composed of men and women who are not only experienced in their field but have a kind of compassion that inspires employees to be a better version of themselves.
What makes you most happy at work?
I work with food and nothing could make me happier. I talk about food all-day and think about how I can help people cook better and more often. I am constantly learning in my company— from my coworkers, our users, and my environment. From design, to engineering, and even news and politics.
