Department is great but outside of that no interaction/impersonal (size contributes to this).
There is ebb and flow of projects, lack of resources puts strain on projects that goes ignored by leadership. Lack of resources prevents current resources from growing and learning new things , which impact projects. Lack of resource impacts work/life balance and even more for consecutive projects.
recognition of word done, even if it's little
i don't know leadership team
willing to help if they aren't drowning in work
people in department are nice
the people seem nice here.
connect with employees in ALL departments in the company
if the project is resourced well and there's time for collaboration.
hire more resources. leadership to engage all practices to understand how to help.
Hours and roles I play on project does not match compensation. So nothing, thankful I get a paycheck..that's the best part.
they are willing to help when they have time to spare but the intention counts even if the capacity isn't there.
the question isn't clear, I dont know anyone in the company outside my department. Company vs. department will give different responses. Department, good people. Company don't know anyone, so no answer.
most of the things I do is not tracked as category to impact compensation (ex: help folks solve issues on other projects). some of these things are "non-billable" because no hrs on project.
Resourcing forces one to do multiple roles, it has become the accepted norm. It's assumed everyone should be a certain way else they aren't a team player. Bonus payout reduction impacts employee budgets negatively but is great for the company.
