Sticking up for your teams. Do anything other than maintain status quo. Stop shilling the ESOP for your own benefit and start caring about your desperately tired and mentally unwell staff. HR is essentially a front. I was never supported or backed up in any conversation about work life balance.
Listening, caring, retiring. Leave the company and cash out your ESOPs. You are a hinderance to your teams and a blight on the mental health of your colleagues. You are poor leaders.

ESOP is a pyramid scheme designed to benefit the executives who are majority shareholders. Their retirement is built on the backs of entry level talent. Annual raises are less than inflation + consumer price raises. You lose money working here.

Fundamental business structure. Top-heavy employee owned creates an inherent culture of favoritism and inequality. There is not room for you to grow, either professionally or in terms of equity. Turnover below Manager level is comically high. Shocking.
Executives need to retire. HR needs to actually care about their people.
