I started at Sonder two months ago and am so glad I work here. The people are kind. The work is rewarding. I get to interact with so many different types of people. I have flexibility in what I do. And did I mention my coworkers are so talented and brilliant and kind? It's amazing!
What did you like most about the interview process?
Flexibility in scheduling and allowing for phone interviews!
What makes you most happy at work?
My team makes me so happy! I don't want to log off and not communicate with them!
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Leadership is constantly seeking out new ideas, looking for people who have innovative strategies to create the future of hospitality. They care about people rather than just the bottom line which is rare in a company like this and I appreciate that wholeheartedly.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I work as the "entry level" job for Sonder and believe I sometimes am asked to do more than my pay grade. I love my job do not get me wrong. I love the flexibility but would appreciate a little more money. Living here is expensive!
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The company is constantly looking for feedback to see how comfortable we are and to cultivate a culture that allows for open honest feedback. If I am not comfortable with something or believe I cannot take on a certain task I feel comfortable letting my manager know why.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team is comprised of some of the kindest people on the planet. They are funny and sweet and care about one another. It is not your typical company culture and my team really makes me look forward to work and not feel bad if I make a mistake.
