Mr. Thomas M. Nealon, also known as Tom, has been the President of Southwest Airlines Co. since January 10, 2017. Mr. Nealon served as an Executive Vice President of Strategy & Innovation at Southwest Airlines Co. since January 2016 until January 10, 2017. Mr. Nealon served as Group Executive Vice President of J. C. Penney Company, Inc (formerly, J. C. Penney Corporation, Inc) from August 2, 2010 to December 1 2011. Mr. Nealon served as an Executive Vice President of J. C. Penney Company, Inc. from October 2, 2006 to August 2, 2010 and also served as its Chief Information Officer since October 2, 2006. He joined J. C. Penney in 2006. Mr. Nealon served as Senior Vice President of Technology and Chief Information Officer of Southwest Airlines Co. He led the transformation of Southwest Airlines technology organization and the improvement of all business processes surrounding customer interactions. His many accomplishments and contributions led to significant technology-driven enhancements in nearly every major area of the business including ground operations, flight operations, maintenance and engineering, schedule planning and southwest.com. Mr. Nealon served with Electronic Data Systems, now a Division of the Hewlett-Packard Company, from 2004 to 2006. From 2000 to 2002, he was a Partner with the Feld Group. Before joining the Feld Group in 2000, he served as Chief Information Officer of Frito-Lay, Inc., where he gained 15 years of significant experience in nearly every functional area of its Information Technology organization. He has over 20 years of experience in designing and implementing technologies for leading corporations. He has been a Director of Fossil Group, Inc., (alternate name Fossil, Inc.) since April 16, 2012. He served as a Director of Southwest Airlines Co. since December 1, 2010 until November 2015. Mr. Nealon holds a B.S. degree in Finance from Villanova University and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Dallas.
