I worked mainly with the Maritime team and parts of Space Services. I have been treated with respect. However, there needs to be more engagement between the C-suite and the rest of the organization in terms of some decisions such as work-from-home policies.

I've never had a job that makes me want to cry before I leave home.

Harassment, discriminatory comments, even a case of an intoxicated exec on a video call! It's probably a great place to work as a VP and above. But, for normal level employees it's awful. The fully remote C suite loves to make arbitrary decisions that make office workers daily lives worse.

The only culture within the company is a culture of fear. The two that run the company are husband and wife and make emotionally charged, reactive decisions. No clear direction but lots of micromanagement by E team. Very high turnover and my equity after working crazy hours for IPO can’t even cov

It's a job, not good, not terrible, just a job. Company doesn't have much of a culture because it's so spread out. Remote employees are 2nd class because the CEO says they cannot contribute as much as in person. Not recommended.

They are open and communication is constant.

Toxic managers sre allowed to run free with no checks.

Everything. I don't know where to start.

Advice for current management might as well go directly into the trash as no valid ideas have ever been considered by management, not even a stock in free fall can dampen their egos. A new CEO should listen to the few good employees that still remain.

Accept feedback from your employees, don't take it personally, they have real feelings and ideas on improvements. Improve communication. Make sure that current employees compensation is fair to the market and the value they add to the business.

Better pay, not being on just above min wage for big responsibilities.

COLAs only come every 2 years and that's only if you don't get a raise or promotion. You do the math in how that works out.... Meanwhile the execs give themselves literally millions of company shares for free.

Market rate for my skillset is 20% higher than what Spire pays. You can only get increases by going up in "TCL" level. COLA only every 2 years and ONLY if you didn't get any other increase during that period...

Talented team. They work hard and try to manage the stress of their jobs. They are mostly supportive and professional.

Working with some of the most talented and passionate individual contributors I have ever met. -Many used to be very interested in Space as a communal interest. Having rocket launch watch parties, posting about NASA and ESA missions. -Actually taking vacation is very accepted and even suggested here

Amazing team. I really love working with them. We are looking at opportunities to move elsewhere as a team because we have really gelled.

Work as a team, listen and support each other and share the workload. So many get away with doing nothing

There really isn't any culture. Remote employees sit alone and don't feel part of the team.

change the "startup attitude" management with more experienced professionals

You have a lot of good people working at your company, but you are burning them out quickly. You are expanding rapidly, which is leading to chaos and inconsistent practices across the board. I would focus on your internal issues especially around your culture, and employee's wellbeing.

It was pretty informal and easy

work is quick in the morning with time in the afternoon to take care of administrative work

The energy here makes people want to spend time in the office. We're not just colleagues, we're also friends, which makes coming to work every day delightful.
