What do you like best about the leadership team?
The leadership team is very organized in managing projects & the artists working on them. Communication is always clear & direct. The team is always accommodating to my needs & strives to keep up the morale amongst the department.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Empathy. Ever-changing goals, priorities and multiple reorgs has caused change fatigue that seems to be accompanied by a "just deal with it" attitude from leadership. There seems to be a lack of awareness of how much can be done with fewer people due to attrition drives anxiety.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
The salary is great, and I love the equity package.

Overall, salaries seem to be competitive for each role based on job market standards. Equity compensation is a nice addition. I'm grateful Squarespace provide clear policy regarding promotions & raises.

People are very invested in getting to know each other and regularly set up meetings with people outside of their department to learn about them and the work that they do at Squarespace. People tend to be inquisitive and interested in learning new things here, which fosters an overall excitement.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Improve leadership's communication, eliminate toxic positivity and be appropriately candid. Acknowledge attrition and lack of granted headcount by adjusting expectations and modifying goals and priorities so that employees aren't in a continuous burnout loop.
