There's definitely been ups and downs similar to any other company. The past two years, they have truly turned it around for the better and I've never been more proud as I am to see the growth at Stack Overflow along with the care they place for Stackers each day.
I've been at Stack Overflow for a few years now. It's been rewarding and challenging. It's not easy in an ever-changing environment, but we're heading in the right direction. I'm excited to see where we go next and the value we offer to the world through our products.
The employees, my work, and Stack Overflow's mission.
The people, L&D opportunities for growth, and the benefits.
My colleagues, work-life balance, culture, the autonomy I'm given, and compensation package.
The total compensation package is phenomenal. Not many companies at this size can compare to what Stack Overflow offers.
My team is willing to help regardless if it is a part of their job description. No question is too small.
My compensation is paid at a competitive market rate. They've seen my contribution and I feel acknowledge through my midyear and annual review with raises and/or promotion.
My team is always willing to be open to new ideas, collaborate, and help where it is needed, even if it is outside of their job description.
The leadership team is open and willing to take the time out of their day to meet with employees regardless if they are individual contributors or a manager.
The people at my job make me the happiest. These are people I spend most of my days with, so it's important I truly enjoy working with them.
The Talent Acquisition team does their best to give timely updates and a clear outline of the interview process along with who I'd meet with. I felt like I was set up for success.
The leadership team cares about the employees to ensure they have a place to grow professionally and feel valued. They have monthly AMAs to allow employees to ask questions to have more transparency about the business.
Stack Overflow offers premium medical benefits coverage for the employee and their direct family at no cost. They also offer a variety of benefits for mental health, professional coaching, and tuition reimbursement to name a few.
The most positive thing about our culture and environment is the opportunity to cross-collaborate and share new ideas that are outside of the box. The people here are welcoming and get me excited to come in everyday.
This is by far the most collaborative and inclusive team I have ever worked with. I can bring my whole self to work without having to second guess myself. No question is too small - I love that about my team.
The leadership team really came together this past year. We're going through hyper-growth, which comes with a lot of changes. They're willing to listen and take feedback that is applied back to our organization. Transparent communication has been the key to some of the movements we've made.
Our company has implemented various internal pieces of training for our employees to practice how to create a place where people feel like they belong, be respected, and over opportunities for growth within. We have multiple ERGs that take part in making a significant impact, which I value.
