Mr. Awadhesh K. Sinha has been Chief Operating Officer of Steven Madden, Ltd. since July 1, 2005. With nearly 30 years of experience in the apparel business, Mr. Sinha has particular expertise in managing all operating aspects of both wholesale and retail businesses. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of WEAR ME Apparel Inc. Prior to joining WEAR ME, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Salant Corp., since February 1999 and to the additional office of Chief Operating Officer since July 1999. Mr. Sinha has worked for Salant Corporation for 22 years. He joined Salant Corp. as a Division Controller in 1981. Prior to this time, he served as Chief Financial Officer of the Perry Ellis Division from 1998, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Perry Ellis Division since 1992, Executive Vice President of Operations and Vice President of Finance of the Manhattan Industries Group since 1983. He held various financial and management positions with US Industries and Halston Enterprises. Mr. Sinha served as a Director of Steven Madden Ltd., from October 2002 to July 2005.
