I don't feel my level of leadership experience was taken into consideration when hired. Only job knowledge was measured as I was brought in at the bottom of the pay scale. Negation was not even considered during my job offer conversation when I brought it up.

I do feel like I am stretched thin and asked to do more than what falls in my wheel house. I am not opposed to doing more but the compensation has not increased with the workload. External hires are always compensated more than long term internal employees.

I don't understand why external employees start with higher salaries than internal hires. I think that's unfair. I've dedicated years of my life to this company and people can walk in making more than me.

I believe that We are understaffed in the PE team, which leads to all of us to pick up the slack, sometimes its at the worst moments, but typically our managers will choose who to cover when people are out of those who they know can handle it.
