Review from Operations Dept

Good work enviroment and associates

I enjoy customer service and making the shopping experience positive for the customer. When a customer comes to me with a negative experience, I take this to heart because I want our store to be as friendly and stress free as possible.

Review from Operations Dept

Review from Operations Dept

Working with others who care about their job as well.

Review from Marketing Dept

Interacting with fellow associates and customers. Wanting to lean more about my current role.

Review from Operations Dept

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

I only wish some higher ups would be more transparent about future moves, goals, development, and investment.

Review from Operations Dept

Perception of this company has dramatically dropped since pre-Covid and has not improved. Our overall quality of product, our sanitation, our service, and now our price point are all low points compared to rival companies. Serious labor studies are needed to better budget/staff stores.

Review from Operations Dept

there seems to be no real camaraderie as a whole, more of an obligation to work together to meet goals with a fear you may be in trouble.

very little consistency. Never know what will be going on at work or what will change but still expected to have a plan.

Too much focus on negative

Review from Operations Dept

While I like my job, it can be very stressful.

Review from HR Dept

Treat people with respect and be kind

Review from HR Dept

Better work life balance is needed

The system that we work with and the Communication between the Category teams and the PE workers needs to be improved. There are Glaring Communication issues regardless of where we work.

A lot - we need a lot of help in the stores, we need less initiatives and we need to focus on selling product and taking care of customers. We are losing too many associates to continue to build new programs, and over half of our staff at store level has less than 3 years experience (since COVID)

Review from Operations Dept

the cookie cutter mold has taken the ability away for stores to try new things

Review from Operations Dept

I feel that there is no room for advancement in our company. When applying for any "corporate" positions I have been told that I need to travel to Quincy in order to fill the role. I live 2 1/2-3 hours away and cannot travel there weekly but am fully capable of performing in one of these positions

Review from Operations Dept

store mgr treats me as I don't exists and is constantly giving me a terrible work schedule

Would be nice if ASMs could be moved closer to home and not tied to a district that's 40-50 miles from home.

Review from Operations Dept

PRICES, STORE CONDITIONS. I am a mom and work with many other mom and they ALL ask me when they find out I work for S&S, Why is it so expensive? Why are the stores especially the floors in bad shape? After I feel embarrassed to work here, I tell them that corporate has no clue since they are in MA.

Review from Operations Dept

The Stress and nerves just thinking about going to work in this environment is toxic. Stop with the negativity. Stop with forcing us to Manage from reporting.

Review from Operations Dept

lack of help and quality of the help we do have. In our market area people can make more money working almost anywhere else. This makes it difficult to hire and retain.

Review from Operations Dept

We are becoming the highest priced retailer. Customers feel prices are just going up and service is going down.

Review from Operations Dept

There are a lot of system issues and upgrades needed to technology that would help to make work days less stressful

Review from Operations Dept

long commute, too many nights
