Have a clear goal and execute it. Too many conflicting standards and expectations
Review from Operations Dept
defining this company, its mission, and the overall goal of the brand that each employee can feel empowered to represent that customers will reflect and project from their services
leading by example. Daily we get corrections from initiatives that are launched and then revised. At the store level, we are not given the same grace to make these type of mistakes
Showing appreciation and stop leading through fear

Work life balance is completey off
I don't feel my level of leadership experience was taken into consideration when hired. Only job knowledge was measured as I was brought in at the bottom of the pay scale. Negation was not even considered during my job offer conversation when I brought it up.
A higher rate of pay
Review from Operations Dept
Peers are not asked to perform same amount of work but are paid equally
Previously worked for the company for 31 years, my experience in my position should reflect that a bit better than my starting salary.
Higher rate for a premium day
Review from Operations Dept
Not nearly enough collaboration between peers. Very much a culture of protect your four walls versus the company behavior of "we work as one team"
Review from Operations Dept
Union workers seem to be always on the lookout for management slipping up rather than doing thier job
Review from Operations Dept
Communication - I think I'm just used to a faster pace, so its been a challenge to adjust
Review from Finance Dept
Be collaborative and open to other points of view.
Review from HR Dept
Be more open to change.
Review from HR Dept
a clear definition of the brand and its meaning. showcase what it supposed to feel like and empower associates to carry the brand meaning to the customers. there is not much culture, there needs to be clear one defined.
training, succession plans, operational excellence
Upper Leadership lacks kindness and leads through fear
Review from HR Dept
no union. fulltimers working a full sunday when needed and it as part of the work week. way too many times do they just focus on themselves and work a 7am-11am or noon shift and leave THEIR departments shorthanded
Review from Operations Dept
More hours per dept. I constantly hear how things used to be before Ahold, and that the job expectation is the same but with less hours.

I only wish some higher ups would be more transparent about future moves, goals, development, and investment.
Review from Operations Dept
Perception of this company has dramatically dropped since pre-Covid and has not improved. Our overall quality of product, our sanitation, our service, and now our price point are all low points compared to rival companies. Serious labor studies are needed to better budget/staff stores.
Review from Operations Dept
there seems to be no real camaraderie as a whole, more of an obligation to work together to meet goals with a fear you may be in trouble.
very little consistency. Never know what will be going on at work or what will change but still expected to have a plan.
Too much focus on negative
