Mr. Avinash Salelkar has been Head of Manufacturing Business Unit of Syntel, Inc. since February 2011 and has been its Vice President since February 2011. Mr. Salelkar has been Head of Manufacturing, PLM & ES Business Unit at Syntel, Inc. since February 2011. Mr. Salelkar served as Global Head of Engineering Services and Vice President of Geometric Lmited from April 2009 to January 2011. Mr. Salelkar served as the Vice President of Business Process Consulting at Geometric Limited from February 2008 to March 2009. Mr. Salelkar joined Geometric in February 2008 to head the Business Consulting practice, which focuses on providing optimized solutions in areas of Product Lifecycle Management. He also served in management and consulting roles at Tata Consultancy Services from January 2003 to February 2008. Mr. Salelkar led the Sourcing and Manufacturing Solutions practice at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). Mr. Salelkar's career spans over two decades and across several functions in the automotive industry. He began his career with Tata Motors, where he worked in machine tool maintenance; automobile production planning and control; supplier and component development; corporate management and passenger car sales , service and parts. Mr. Salelkar has led and executed strategy alignment and process improvement engagements in New Product Introduction, Supply Chain Management and Customer Experience Management, towards transforming organizations to become more competitive. Mr. Salelkar holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi and an MBA from the University of Pune.
