They are 101% profit driven and would do anything to make an extra penny of profit. They say they are a family oriented company, but they do only care about employees if they need something from. Otherwise you are just a number. Very few managers actually manage, most just follow instructions.
What makes you most happy at work?
When the clock on the wall says it is time to go home.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Difficult to answer, as there is very little positive working in that kind of environment. I suppose the fact that we get paid every 2 weeks is positive.
What did you like most about the interview process?
I was interviewed by a nice person and one of the few real managers Tenaris has. Without him they would never have survived in Canada. He is the real deal, the Steve Jobs of Tenaris.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Communication. Admitting employees can have good ideas that are better than theirs. Stop thinking employees are stupid and cannot see what is happening all around them. Above all, treat employees like you would want to be treated yourself.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I do not necessarily feel undervalued. I am however over worked and over burdened with tasks. Considering the extra at times heavy burden, I feel I should receive extra compensation for having to work in such an environment.
