What do you like best about the leadership team?
In the 25+ years I have supported leaders or people leaders, this is the most rewarding leadership team I have had the pleasure of work with. They engage you, hold you accountable and include you.

The current executive team destroyed the culture of this company.
That they still allow us to work from home.
Always ready for supporting and help

What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Less hierarchy and more focus on managing and bring your team successes up. Very beauraucratic
Focusing on work not social justice
They need to honest and stop promoting vaporware .

It's astonishing how they've had over ten years to fix the problem within the NC but haven't. Any advice I give is gonna fall on deaf ears, so I won't bother
What is the best part about your compensation package?
My package is within the markets compensation and feel is fair.

TIAA is probably one of the top paying employers in the financial services industry when factoring bonus, and retirement benefits are exceptional.
Benefits. Pay is below average. Bonus is below average.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Opportunity for promotion or at least lateral movement.
Fair compensation for everyone. Executive team is compensated heavily at the cost of employees and participants.

Benefits don't vest at all until the end of your third year, at which it'll vest 100%. Base pay is low, raises are not competitive

What are some of the best things about your team?
I collaborate daily with my team and feel we are a team not siloed. We lift each other up and are always willing to train the other, not move ahead and have someone look weak if they are struggling.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Cut the bureaucracy and politics.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
My company truly cares about their employees. The EC truly cares about their team. Each of them have an open door policy and you are welcome to stop by, call or send a message if you have a concern or just want to chat about something.

Company is very ethical and works to uphold its values. It prides itself on diversity of people and thinking.
Very positive and supportive. There are no "jerks" working here... any that find there way in get walked out the door very quickly.
Executive team sucks but TIAA employees still believe in the mission

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Focus more on being inclusive, less on being diverse
Cut the useless meetings. Lots of hours were wasted
We need a new management team at the top.

What did you like most about the interview process?
Meeting my manager and team members.
The people I met during the interview.
The people had good questions and shared more information about the company
People were friendly but there were still red flags that I wish I paid attention to.
It was an amicable and no pressure exchange/interaction.
What would you improve about your company's interview process?
Decision-making process needs to be sped up and overall process could be more streamlined. Communication could also be improved.
Managers need to actually know what they are looking for

It's an engaging, highly positive work environment with a great culture.

I enjoy the type of work I do, and my organization's leaders look for career mobility for employees.
The immediate team members are good to work with.
Flexibility, management support and camaraderie with team members.
Being able to help hard working teachers, educatirs abd health care workers.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Keep modernizing and moving away from outdated things.
the have to blow it up to fix it. the model is all wrong
