Beleiving the task is more important than self interest

Communication would go a long way.

Learn to respect your teammates.

I once enjoy co-worker interaction, that is until a manager I don't report to told me I couldn't talk to team members below my pay scale. Basically, she didn't want African American females to interact with each other. Extremely uncomfortable situation.
