Once you get onto more teams, you earn considerably more.
Flexibility/ability to choose how often you want to work
I can work when I want.
The harder you work, the faster you advance.

No defined compensation package, as such, as I'm a crowd worker - so, unable to comment on it.
As an independent contractor, my compensation package consists of the amount paid for each job. However, it is the best rate I have found for online transcription work.
We may withdraw our payments weekly and they are never delayed.
I determine how much I get paid every week.
The rate goes higher as you get better at the job.
TM transcriptionist like me have no benefits. But what we do have is a fun, interesting way to earn some extra money and be a part of a supportive team. We work whenever we want with no penalty if we do not work every day. Freedom.

Freelance contractor. No compensation package opportunities.

It is predictable and always on time.

There is room to improve and earn more
Review from Admin Dept
I don't really have a compensation package, but I know that just comes with this line of work.
Prompt weekly payments directly deposited into my bank account. There has never been an issue with payment for assiggnments.
Review from Product Dept
As I am a contract employee, I don't have a compensation package. I knew this when joining Transcribe Me and am perfectly fine with it.
Review from Operations Dept
You have a variety of teams available to join and improve your pay rates.
Review from Product Dept
I appreciate that I've seen growth in my compensation package. The better you get at transcription, the more you earn.
Review from Product Dept
The compensation is always timely and no fraud. You get what you deserve.

My work determines my income.

I am paid by audio hours and not by how many hours I work. It comes out quite low sometimes, but I do have the convenience of being at home.
You could work for eight hours and make a total of $10. And I'm talking being in one of the best paid teams and as a fast touch typer. No extra pay for hard audio. No extra pay as a quality assessor for working on a job that has been transcribed very poorly and takes you 2 to 3 times as long to do.
It would be great if the hourly rate were better, but the online transcription industry seems to pay badly overall.
The rates are low. It's impossible to make a living wage in the United States while getting work from this company. I would feel better if i was paid more.
As a QA you are called on to correct other people's work. At times that involves multiple mishears, moving of words, adding words and punctuation. At times that creates additional hours of work that is not paid for. But no compensation given unless a chunk is bad enough to reject.
Review from Operations Dept
I'm an independent contractor. I have no claim to benefits of any kind.
The rate can be doubled. An audio hour usually takes more than 10 hours to transcribe but one is paid $25 or $30 for an audio hour on some teams and even less something like $15 for others which is just too low. At least the rate per hour should be reviewed upwards to make it worthwhile maybe $100
Review from Operations Dept
It is a lot of work that goes into being a Transcriber and Quality Assurer. A bit of a higher pay rate would be nice as you can easily put hours into a file and only get paid $6 an hour at the end of the day. It is however a learning curve, so perhaps my speed will pick up even more.
Considering the work, if it was a bit higher pay per miunte. Also if you could earn a raise if you're very efficient and good at what you do.
Low pay, no benefits because it's a freelance gig. That's how they exploit workers. At best, you might earn $5/hr.
Review from Product Dept
Everybody wants more money, but it's up to you to move to higher pay rate work.
Review from Product Dept
Now I have not gotten paid for any of the work I did while I worked there and no one from Transcribe me will even respond to any of my messages. I should not have been treated this way because somebody made a mistake and didnt want anybody to know.
Review from Admin Dept
Being a bit stricter with audio customers provide
The pay is very low.
If you're "hired" as an admin, they illegally keep you as an independent contractor without benefits and extremely underpay you. They harass you and scream at you. You can't say anything about it, as you're not protected as a contractor and they know it. Stop.
Review from Admin Dept
Transcription isn't a get-rich-quick job at all. However, even a couple of dollars increase in the pay rate would be really helpful.
I am a contract worker, therefore I am not eligible for these things. If I was offered a full-time job with them though, I would take it in a second.
Review from Admin Dept
I feel I deserve to be paid more for the effort and time I put in. Compensation is basically slightly higher than minimum wage on average.
Review from Product Dept
It seems nearly impossible to make minimum wage as a transcriber, even when you join "special teams." The flexibility of the job is great, and it's a friendly place to work, but I do feel taken advantage of in terms of pay.
Review from Product Dept
An hourly rate that roughly equals minimum wage.
