What do you like best about the leadership team?
My direct supervisor is amazing! Most of the management at my RDC are good people; it's the corporate side of things that made the company go bankrupt.

Our leadership doesn't just sit around. They really listen to their teams and help resolve and support their associates.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
Company match of 401K could be higher but moeny woes cost the laborers.
My total rewards package is well balanced.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Too little pay and low 401k match
company is cheap and look to turn employees rather than hire quality.
Reviews and raises should be regular and not bottle necked by one person
Salary is only patt of it, the insurance options are not competative enought, along with the sick and pto time
I got paid almost nothing.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Long term coworkers with great work ethics
Friendly, sense of humor, hard working
Everyone is friendly with one another and they try to help each other
i do not have a team.
We are really engaged and we help one another. If one person is busy, then the other help out. Its a great team!
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Better training and learning opportunities
Meetings go off track regulary, training is hit or miss and many are able to skte by having not learned what they need and just rely on stronger members (supervisors) to get the work done.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
It's been negative for the last 4 or 5 years but has improved since Do It Best acquired the company.
They go overboard on WOKE & DEI measures

There is no unrealistic expectations and we comfortably get all our tasks completed.

Get rid of everyone at the top

Better integrity at exec levels
Let people do their job, stop pulling people from tgeir work to attend meetings that bring no value, then push people to meet deadlines after having them in meetings half the day
Stop intimidating your workers and start treating them as if they matter

Our recruiting team are extremely friendly and flexible. They go out of their way to make everyone feel comfortable.

Validation that I am making progress and overall improvements for my company

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
don't lie and put the weight of the company on the reps back.
Inefficient employees, years of doing things the same way. People with the company for 30 years and don't know basic business knowledge about True Value
No investment in tools, coordinated technology. it's all outdated. Always running after shiny new thing without proper long term dedicated strategy or investment
Management should take volunteers for OT instead of forcing ppl to stay
The owner of the continent is very hard on the employees
