Low pay, but they wonder why they don't attract employees. Local HRs have no ability to make change; makes me wonder why it takes 4 to run the office. CEO and CNO feigns caring. Said they "gave" millions in pay adjustments but not to support staff, yet they allow RN to fill in for UC at RN $+call.
What makes you most happy at work?
The people in my unit.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Not just listening. Hearing and acting. Egos in the way.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Despite uncaring leadership, we all dig in to make a quality experience for patient.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
UC in L&D do more than any other dept UC or CNA, but our pay is less than working at local McDonalds or comparing to other UCs in area. Significant disconnect that local Leadership ignores.
What did you like most about the interview process?
First, i had to show up and asked to be seen when we first opened, because though my qualifications matched the job,, the application process didn't flag me. After getting the interview it was fairly smooth.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Fair pay and a management team that does more than give lip service. Less management more fairly paid staff. People do NOT apply because ALL OTHER AREA HOPITALS PAY MORE, and were drowning some days without enough staff!
