Starting a remote role at a global company in the midst of a global pandemic is in a word - weird. Despite this I feel like my team is still here for each other and my manager has our best interest at heart. I have been impressed by the diversity training and "psychological safety" push as well.

My experience has been positive. There are growing pains but my specific leadership team seems passionate and excited about establishing and growing our team.

I can rely on them when I am out if the office.

When people are excited about a project you are working on and happy to see someone tackling it.

Everyone on my team is friendly, helpful, super smart and are always willing to make time for me if I need help.

They were competitive with my salary requests and I felt they understood my career goals and worked hard to make sure that I would be happy here long term
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Culture is obviously important here which is a big positive. The biggest thing that makes my environment is that I am not micromanaged here and thats a huge plus in making me comfortable here.

I have worked at companies where particular departments or engineering groups were outside of the US but this is the first company I have worked for that truly feels global and I feel like they really invest in making sure peoples cultures and differences are respected and celebrated
